SUMMARY:Balloon Race
DESCRIPTION:It’s that time of year again – the Easter Balloon Race! \nWe are holding an Easter competition in support of the Northern Newfoundland Club Welfare – a Virtual Balloon Race. \nA virtual race works in the same way as a helium balloon race\, but they fly around their own webpage rather than in the atmosphere. Each balloon costs £4 and we would love you to buy and sell as many as possible. You can choose your own colour and even add your 8own message to put on the tag. \nOn Sunday 29 March all the balloons will be ‘released’ and left to ‘fly’ across the River Douro. Every hour each balloon travels between 1km and 20km. In fact they could move so far that they may well end up in a different place with different scenery!  At the end of the race on Easter Sunday 5th April  the balloon which has travelled the farthest wins £30 in Amazon vouchers with further voucher prizes for 2nd and 3rd place. \nYou can buy your balloons at https://www.balloonrace.net/nncn \nand once the race has started you can track your balloons on our own race page at the same address. Have your credit card ready! \nPlease join in for some fun at Easter. Entry is open to everyone\, the more the better!

DESCRIPTION:This year we have chosen Sunday 30th November as the date for the walks for Welfare. \nDon’t worry if you can’t do that date – November seems to be a very busy month with shows and tests – you can pick another date close to it\, but it would be great to get as many Newfies as we can out walking en-masse on 30th November. \nAnyone can form a group for a walk.
