CLASS RESULTS & CRITIQUES
I would like to take this opportunity to give my sincere thanks to the Northern Newfoundland Club Committee for the kind invitation to judge my first club show and for all of their hard work in making this show a great success. I would also like to thank all of the exhibitors for a strong entry of quality dogs and bitches, making it a fun and very memorable day.
There are some lovely youngsters which bodes well for the future of the breed. The majority of the dogs were well presented; all had superb temperaments.
In my mind’s eye, I was looking for a Newfoundland that was fit for purpose and showed the true characteristics of the breed, well balanced with substantial bone and a powerful yet noble appearance, well-muscled throughout with sound movement and to be one of three colours! I believe that on the day, all of my winners fit this criteria and are a real credit to the breed and their owners.
