CLASS RESULTS & CRITIQUES

Overall there was a very good number of entries I had the pleasure to judge. I can say that all of them had the gentle temperament so typical in this breed. Almost everyone was good trimmed and freshly bathed (always nice when you have to touch them). Almost all with good coat texture and correct color and markings. All of them were handled with care. I found just few eyes in the need of improvement; open or round or too light in color. Some happy tails. I believe the problem is in the development of the croup. Just two with little kinks in the tails. No bite problems big enough to scare me. What can be really improved are angulations; most of them are sound but could be more. Improving angulations will be also the way to have better croups and tail carriage.

Minor Puppy Dog (3,0)

1st - Mrs J M Lindley - Legend I Am Canadian Beardog for Lindgreave NAF: Black very sound puppy. Eyes a little open at the moment. Happy puppy moving very well for the age even if he is slightly cow hock.

2nd - Mr G J & Mrs P Leech - Bulawayo Faundland at Mileoak: White and black nice puppy well put together. Eyes are a little round, but the expression is still nice. Sound movement.

3rd - Mrs S J King - Saskinbears Back In Black: Black very immature puppy that today has all the way to go. Looks promising. Very good conditions.

Puppy Dog (6,0)

1st - Ms S Blake - Sandbears One Formula: Black in type already masculine very sound in fact his gait is easy and effortless. Very good general conditions.

2nd - Mr A Godden - Zentaur Bout That Jam: Brown very well put together with sound movement. Eyes are light also respect coat color, but still of good expression.

3rd - Mr G J & Mrs P Leech - Bulawayo Faundland at Mileoak: White and black immature puppy of nice quality. Needs more confidence with the ring. I’ll like to see him in the future.

2nd - Miss S McPhail - Spirebear Golden Barley: Brown excellent type, masculine, correct bite, sound movement in excellent general conditions. Charming coat.

3rd - Mr & Mrs W J Lloyd - Carlos Cancrimo (Imp POL) ShCM: White and black good type, masculine, correct bite, excellent size, excellent coat and markings. Eyes a bit round. Good mover.

Special Veteran Dog (1,0)

1st - Mr K & Mrs K Hosie - Newfoundlove New Edition at Shadowrise Ir Jun Ch: Black excellent type, masculine, big size. What can you say about a nine years old Newf that still loves going around the ring? It’s a pleasure.

Junior Dog (6,1)

1st - Ms J McDonald - Newfangled Frute Loonie: Black excellent type very masculine for the age. Well develop, heavy bones. Eyes are a little open and could be darker, but the expression is very charming. Moves with drive.

2nd - Miss C Boath - Newfangled Frute Bat: Black good type, but immature dog. All proportions are in their way to become, not yet today. I’ll like to see him in one year time. Easy mover.

3rd - Mrs K Steels - Nurburgnewf ironman: Brown impressive size, masculine young dog not very elegant. Size is compensating lack of few other proportions. Coat is a bit wavy. Moves with power.

Graduate Dog (4,1)

1st - Mr P & Mrs R Dickinson - Barracechi Pinot Noir: Black, masculine, good type with good proportions. Tail is carried a bit highly when dog is gaiting. Slightly cow hock in back legs. Good general conditions.

2nd - Mr P & Mrs C Payne - Newettas Lets Party at Squestpaws: White and black, masculine, good type also if I prefer a more square muzzle. Correct bite and expression. Adequate bone for the size. Moves with drive. Nice markings.

3rd - Mr & Mrs C A Sayle - Gunnersnewf Above 'N' Beyond: Very nice head conformation. Could have better angulations front and rear as a better tail carriage. General conditions are very nice. Movement is easy.

Post Graduate Dog (4,1)

1st - Miss F & Mr J Hewson & Rhodes - Dawbryn Doctor Fourtysix: Black, masculine of good type and size. Correct bite. Very nice siluette as all proportions are correct. Moves well. Very sound dog.

2nd - Mrs S L & Mr A R Wilson - Sparkybears Tiny Temper: Good size with a little long muzzle compare to skull. Good angulations front and rear in fact the gait is covering the ground effortless. Good coat quality.

3rd - Mrs L & Mr T Chapman - Vodahond Prince Charming: In type, a bit low on pasterns. Could have more develop chest. The gait is effortless and very nice to watch. Very nice coat in very good conditions.

Limit Dog (7,0)

1st - Mrs T Stanton - Fluffy Avalanch Snow Paw by Fairweather's NAF: White and black a bit dark on markings, but in super nice conditions with very nice expression. Very well balanced dog. Moves very well and he is happy to do it. Smoothly handled.

2nd - Ms S Blake - Sandbears Masterpiece: Black in type of small size. Correct bite and expression. Very well balanced for his size. Good general conditions and coat quality. Moves well.

3rd - Mr J & Mrs T Mycock - Zentaur Hot Diggity (AI): Good type, masculine, correct bite and expression. A bit long in body, but still sound. Good general conditions. Moves with drive.

2nd - Ms S & Mr M Pallier & Sands - Mileoak Mango Passion: Feminine, nice type and proportions. Good expression. Out of coat today. Her gait is still very good.

3rd - Mrs M Jenkins - Ticklecove's Sofia: Feminine nice siluette. Correct expression. Sound female in good general conditions, but quite lazy today.

1st - Mrs A Springthorpe - Sandbears First Class at Millthorpe: Very feminine, excellent type with nice expression. Elegant, super sound bitch. Also her white chest is eye catcher. Good angulations front and rear, in fact movement is with drive and effortless.

2nd - Mrs H Webb - Barracechi Limited Edition (AI): Feminine, with a very nice head for proportions muzzle and skull and sweet expression. Correct bite. Correct general conformation. Moves very nicely in a typical way.

3rd - Mr G P & Mrs J A Roffe - Mayosea Hey I Made It: Feminine of good type. Very heavy bones. Nice head and expression. Correct bite. Good proportions all over. Nice conditions of coat. Moves well.
